In my opinion, the majority of the newer Ferrari cars look as though they are prototypes; simply because of how visually stunning and beautiful they look from the outside. The older used Ferrari units, not so, but it is definitely the case with the new style vehicle. However, Ferrari do actually have an official section of their business where they build prototype cars and one of the more recent offerings is the Ferrari 599XX model. Based on the 500 GTB Fiorano, the 599XX is a gorgeous vehicle that can do no wrong. A the title above suggests, please let it be true and release this exceptional piece of steel and carbon fibre into the mix! Characterised by Ferrari’s 'high performance dynamic concept', the 599xx is reported to deliver the ultimate in overall sports car performance and really does push Ferrari’s engineering abilities to the absolute limit. With the incorporation of the Ferrari ‘Actiflow’ system, the 599XX is able to increase its down force, which means 280 kg of down force can be attained at 200 km/h (figures taken directly from the Ferrari Website). As for the exterior, which is very much the pinnacle from a viewing point of view, materials such as carbon fibre have been used (a favourite among sports and racing cars because of its light weight) and this has worked in combination with aluminium. As with all new or used Ferrari cars of this magnitude, the 599XX offers the best in sports car tyres that have been used to deliver the best cornering abilities available. One can only hope that Ferrari decide to release the 599XX into the public domain, but with production costs seemingly increasing in price as time goes by, I won’t be getting too excited just yet.

Officially described as having “more multimedia choices than your home”, the new Dodge 2010 Grand Caravan is a vehicle very much out there on its own in terms of style. In fact, you could go as far as saying that the new Grand Caravan looks like the official mode of transport used in the A-Team. With its big and bold black outer casing, the only thing that is does not have is the famous red hazard lines displayed on the side of the vehicle. Had this been the case, then I for one would have expected B.A. Baracus to be in the driving seat! Very much a mini-van, this Dodge is unique in its approach to style and stands out like a sore thumb. Critics seem to love it and Internet reviewers seem to be very much in love with what is a seemingly impressive vehicle. Improvements have definitely been made and things have certainly moved on from the used Dodge vans of the past and it seems that the year 2010 has forced designers to come up with something worthy of the future. Ample space, a friendly interior and a host of safety features are all included within the Grand Caravan and Dodge have paid special attention to this particular area. The one downside of the vehicle is its price, which critics say is slightly too high and there are reports that the standard version disappoints in terms of engine power. Of course, this Dodge is still very much a new addition to the range of new and used Dodge cars, which means that there may well be a few teething problems to begin with. I would say that a more realistic review can be assigned once it gets out into the open market and more and more people get a feel of what the positives and negatives may be. Until then, official road tests and opinions from a small number of current owners is the only information available.

So how much do we actually know about the brand of Chrysler? Well for starters the official name of the company is now Chrysler Group LLC (this being the case from 2009 when the US government funded a $6 million plus deal) and they are a car manufacturer that is based in the USA (Detroit, Michigan) where many of the industrial plantations and manufacturing plants are located. Formed in the year 1925, Chrysler was initially part of the DaimlerChrysler marquee. Since then, the organisations has been responsible for many new and used Chrysler cars on US soil and also now has a strong and growing presence in the UK and European markets. The reason for this new found popularity is because of the range of cars that are specifically aimed at European customers. With a different style and demand than American users, Chrysler were able to introduce certain cars, which they felt were pertinent to their customers on the other side of the pond. Leading the line of new and used Chrysler cars in the UK, for example, is the Chrysler 300C and Grand Voyager models. Both models are very different to each other with one being a classy looking saloon / estate and the other being, as the name suggests; a smart and sophisticated people carrier. So it is clear that Chrysler intended on marketing to two different sectors of the UK and European markets as each vehicle will appeal to different sets of people. So with this in mind, Chrysler introduced both vehicles to their respective markets and the response has been quietly impressive – especially with the 300C model, which I must admit is a firm favourite of mine. So Chrysler have certainly come a long way in a short space of time and with popularity growing at such a good rate, the brand looks like it is going to go from strength to strength.

Awarded the best in its class, the new Chevrolet Cruze is a vehicle that has reinvented the wheel and the result is a car that is both pleasing on the eye and exceptional in performance. However, the Cruze does not lose its identity and is still very much a Chevrolet car at heart. So whilst it is no doubt an improvement on the used Chevrolet vehicles of the past, it is still something that these cars can relate too; after all, they are part of the same family. The athletic styling of a coupe as well as the infamous Chevrolet headlamps and front grille, provide the foundations for a successful Chevrolet auto. Only this time around, there are new and innovative additions that, when combined with a fair and realistic price, the Cruze suddenly becomes a popular choice to consumers. There are many features incorporated into the design of the Chevrolet Cruze and here is a list of just a small number of them: airbags for the front, roof and side, electric front windows, steering column tilt and telescope, parking sensor assistance, audio control steering wheel, cruise control, rain sensor wipers and a CD player with CD changer. These features, plus many more, are available from the three models on offer; Cruze S, Cruze LS and the Cruze LT. Prices of the brand new models start from £12,800 (Cruze S version) and go up to £14,400 (Cruze LT version). Of course, for optional extras buyers should be aware that additional finance will be required. So all in all the Chevrolet Cruze has been allocated a fair price for the different variants but if this is still out of reach, why not visit your local Chevrolet dealership and take a look at the used Chevrolet Cruze range to see if there is any bargains to be had.

BMW have so often provided the general public with a wide range of cars. Some have gone on to become true legends of the industry and others have reached a certain popularity that only other car manufacturers could dream of. One such car is the BMW 1-Series. In today’s financial climate, getting value for money is very much at the top of the agenda for the majority of people. Of course there are cheaper versions in the used BMW marketplace and no doubt there are many bargains to be found in this arena. The different seasons of the year make way for different cars becoming more prominent on the roads and, if current viewings are anything to go by, the BMW 1-Series is certainly in its peak season! It is obvious that a Bentley is a car of luxury and that the brand as a whole is associated with prestige vehicles. It seems then that with the introduction of the Bentley Continental to the range of already-exceptional Bentley cars, previous production boundaries have been surpassed.

The A3 has been one of the many vehicles in the Audi range that has served the company so well. For a period of time it appeared as though every other car on the road was an A3, which if I am being honest, was pretty scary. In the end, I too became an owner of this delightful piece of machinery and just added my weight to the argument that it was the most desired road car of its time. Nowadays the A3 has received a number of updates that even includes a soft-top / convertible version. When this was launched to the market, it became an instant hit and buyers were literally queuing up for a piece of the action. After almost a year of interest and purchases, the Audi A3 has now become what the hard-top version was in the very beginning; everywhere you look – there seems to be an A3! So why is this vehicle so popular? Well first of all it is an Audi who are currently one of the leaders in the industry. Therefore, owning a new or used Audi is seen to be quite an achievement. Then there is the price. For a car of this quality, the price is fairly reasonable and is within reach for a wide range of buyers. Then there is the quality of car and the features that it provides such as the choice of metallic paints, the parking sensors and Audi’s custom leather interior etc. Finally, there is the choice of engines that are available. In the older used Audi A3 cars, engine choices were limited to a certain degree, but now there are many more available. There is also the opportunity to have the more fuel efficient Audi engines, which incorporate Diesel technology and Audi innovations to create the complete driving performance.
